2026 PACK Welcome Week

Ready for your moment in the spotlight? Whether you sing, dance, juggle, perform comedy, wow the crowd with a lightsaber battle, or have a one-of-a-kind talent, we want to see it! Solo acts and groups are welcome to audition for the HollyWOUd Variety Show!

Come to one of the 3 audition times to show us what you got! Performers will take the stage at the HollyWOUd Variety Show on Saturday, September 26, at 7:30 PM in the Pacific Room of the WUC. Don't miss your chance to show off your talent and be part of one of PACK Welcome Week's favorite traditions!

We can provide microphones, a piano, DI boxes, and standard sound equipment. If your act requires instrument amps, a drum kit, or other specialty equipment, please bring your own.

Whether you're a new student, returning to campus, or just curious about Exercise Science and/or Public Health, we'd love to see you at our Community Kickoff! Come hang out with fellow students, faculty, and staff in a relaxed setting where you can make new connections before the term gets busy.

We'll have free food, games, activities, and prizes, along with opportunities to meet people who share your interests and get to know your professors outside of class. It's a fun, low-pressure way to build community, ask questions, and start the year feeling connected.

The Cultural Connections Luncheon is the final session of our week of programming to support first generation, underrepresented students. We invite you to join us for lunch and to hear from our Keynote Speaker: (TBD). Please RSVP by sending an email to [email protected] by 9/23 (so we can make sure to have enough food). If you missed the deadline and want to check if we still have space, please call or text the MSSP office at 503-838-8737. The grand prize drawing for the Cultural Connections Program will be held at the end of this session (must be present to win).

Cultural Connections is a program sponsored by the PACE (Peer Allies for College Engagement) Program within the Multicultural Student Services & Programs Office, that is designed to provide an orientation opportunity to culturally diverse students. You will have a chance to meet MSSP staff members, the PACE Coordinators and the PACE Mentors that are current students who are excited to work with you and share information about programs and leadership opportunities on campus. Our goal is to support you as you make your transition to Western Oregon University. There is one Cultural Connections Session each week day of Pack Welcome Week and there will be a drawing for prizes at each session! For those of you that attend all of the Cultural Connection sessions, you will be in the drawing for the grand prize at the final session of the week!

Break out your best festival fits and get ready to glow! Join us for a neon dance party packed with music, dancing, glow-in-the-dark face and body paint, refreshing lemonade, and an opportunity to show off your moves!

And don’t forget to stick around for the raffle at the end...you might just walk away with a prize!

As an added bonus, everyone in attendance will be entered for a chance to win a brand-new TV. Grab your friends, find a seat, and get ready for an amazing night to close out PACK Welcome Week!
