Before you dive into your first term of classes, we have a jam-packed week of exciting activities to help you become acclimated to campus life. From speakers, to socials, to signing your name on the sidewalk, join your fellow new wolves to begin making your mark at WOU!
By participating in PACK Welcome Week, you agree to be photographed and/or recorded and grant Western Oregon University the permission to use your image, voice, and likeness in any university materials or communications.
If you would like to request disability-related accommodation(s) to participate in a WOU activity or event, complete the online request form at least three (3) business days in advance. If you have questions, please contact Disability Access Services (DAS) at 503-838-8250 or [email protected].
Sign up or log in to add sessions to your schedule and sync them to your phone or calendar.
Rise and shine, Wolves! Kick off your WOU journey with one of our favorite traditions. Join your fellow classmates to watch the sunrise, enjoy a free pancake & sausage breakfast, and celebrate the start of an unforgettable year. (GF pancakes and plant-based sausage also provided)
Wear your favorite red and black and dress for the cool morning! After the sun rises, leave your mark by signing your name alongside generations of Wolves on the sidewalk.
A few years from now on the night before your graduation, you'll return to the same spot to watch the sunset with your class, a full-circle WOU tradition you'll never forget.
Make your mark at WOU! Leave your "paw print" by signing your name on the sidewalk during this PACK Welcome Week tradition. It's a fun way to celebrate the start of your college journey and leave a lasting reminder that you were here. Years from now, you can come back and find your signature as a piece of your WOU story. This tradition goes back to the fall of 1959!
This is a great opportunity to meet with on campus, and local employers seeking: part-time workers, volunteer help, and work study students. Find out how to gain some experience, and put some cash in the bank. We encourage you to complete your resume and bring it along. If you need assistance with your resume, or want to know what to expect from general interviews, feel free to visit CPP, SSC205 and talk with one of our trained staff. Interviews are by invitation, or drop in. If you drop in you can schedule a time, or wait for an opening.
Don't get lost on your first day! Join your WOU Crew member for a Find Your Classes & Professors' Offices Tour and make sure you know exactly where you're going when classes start. Bring your class schedule and they will tailor the tour to find your fall term rooms.
Did you miss out on Coachella this year? No worries!! WOUChella is finally here! Break out your best festival fits and get ready to glow! Join us for a neon dance party packed with music, dancing, glow-in-the-dark face and body paint, refreshing lemonade, and an opportunity to show off your moves!
And don’t forget to stick around for the raffle at the end...you might just walk away with a prize!
